Home

Welcome!

You are invited to attend the Thermal Management STT Workshop, 18-19 August 2011 at the National Composites Center in Kettering, Ohio.

The TM STT invites all AFRL Technical Directorates (TDs) to a collaborative workshop addressing innovative and effective fundamental and basic thermal technology research within AFRL that will enable future, highly effective thermal management concepts for air, space and cyber space domains.

Goals:

  • Encourage a collaborative network of bench level researchers, including government and onsite contractors, engaged in thermal management R&D for current and future Air Force systems
  • Identify thermal management technical gaps and promote joint research projects opportunities
  • Review technical progress of "local Agile Thermal Energy Management" STT Initiative
  • Review current Thermal Management STT-sponsored SBIR projects and discuss future topics

Who Should Attend:  AFRL TDs scientists and engineers interested in all aspects of thermal management challenges, including onsite contractors, working on the "Local Agile Thermal Energy Management" initiative which covers thermal energy storage, energy interconversion and modeling and simulation.

If you plan to attend the Thermal Science and Material Workshop, please register at: http://www.ues.com/conferences/thermal-science-material-workshop
