Aerospace Power and Propulsion Technologies Division The Aerospace Power and Propulsion Technologies Division of UES addresses issues relating to advanced research and development in Aerospace power Systems Analysis, Conventional and superconducting Magnets for Aerospace Power Generation, Diamond Films for Semiconductors and Thermal Packages, Direct Thermal Energy Conversion, Aerospace Thermal Management and Aircraft Lubrication systems Performance. The Division offers excellent on-site research support at AFRL/PR and acts as a technical liaison between the Propulsion Directorate and Aerospace companies such as General Electric, Lockheed-Martin, Smith's Industries, Rolls-Royce, Thermo-Electron Corp. and Pratt & Whitney through their Delivery Order program with the USAF. While primarily supporting the AFRL Propulsion Directorate, UES scientists and technicians constantly strive to provide quality, high-technology research and development services to government and industry and to be opportunistic with technology transition for commercial utilization.
