AFRL researchers demonstrate how Robo-Met.3D® can be used to validate and improve ultrasonic NDE for impact damaged composite structures. This approach has the potential to significantly improve the quantitative measurement of the subsurface damage field using ultrasonic scans (AS) modern serial sectioning microscopy methods can provide sub-micrometer resolution data over cm-scale volumes.
