M&M 2017

on August 14, 2017

UES’ Robo-Met.3D® team had a great week at this year’s Microscopy and Microanalysis Meeting in St. Louis! Robo-Met.3D technology was featured in multiple presentations at M&M 2017, such as Application of Serial Sectioning Microscopy to Additively Manufactured Metallic Samples and Three-Dimensional Optical Microstructure Analysis of Ferrite and Pearlite Phases in a Medium Carbon Steel. Dr. Lily Nguyen of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory also presented her work on accelerating 3D microstructure acquisition via fully automated serial sectioning at M&M 2017. Her work used the Robo-Met.3D system in combination with EBSD to extract grain orientation information about 316L steels.
