Lead Systems Analyst
|I was excited to join the Integrative Health & Performance Sciences Division as a Lead Systems Analyst. I had heard many positive things about UES and met so many smart and talented people. This position was a great fit for my recent experience as a quality assurance auditor and background as a chemist in the pharmaceutical, environmental, and research laboratories. I love the outdoors and spend my weekends enjoying all the great Metro parks Dayton has to offer. When I’m not with my fiancé or walking the dog, I enjoy home improvement projects and working around the house.
What are your career goals?
To learn new and emerging technology for research integration and higher levels of understanding. I am also passionate about environmental issues, especially drinking water, and hope to one day combine these skills.
What achievements are you most proud of?
During my Master's research Thesis, I was able to accomplish a patent application and a publication for a novel water treatment reactor.
What is the best advice you've ever heard?
A close friend of mine and mentor advised me on the 3 spheres of control: the largest sphere, where most everything is outside your control and influence; the medium sphere, where some things are within your influence; and the smallest sphere, what you can actually control. Spend your time, energy, and emotions on the latter two.
