UES Celebrates Looking Forward

February 06, 2019

The new year always brings a good time to reflect on the past year's accomplishments and look forward to future achievement, and Thursday's Looking Forward presentation by UES CEO and President Dr. Nina Joshi did just that.

Celebrating UES' rich history in research and development within the Department of Defense, Dr. Joshi emphasized how that side of UES has been and will continue to be the heart of what UES does. UES got its start in materials sciences, but has since grown to seven full-fledged divisions that offer unique capabilities: Materials & Processes, Aerospace Power & Propulsion, Surface Engineering, Biological & Nanoscale Technologies, Photonic & Electronic Technologies, Additive Manufacturing, or Integrative Health & Performance Sciences.

UES also continues to focus on technology transfer and commercialization. UES has found much success in technology development and transfer through programs like SBIR/STTR and RIF, and has successfully commercialized several products for materials characterization, coatings, and more.

Team UES got the much-deserved opportunity to celebrate last year's hard work and this year's new initiatives at the social that followed Dr. Joshi's presentation.
