Great Week at TMS 2019 for UES and Robo-Met

March 19, 2019

UES had a great week at the 2019 TMS Annual Meeting! Full of presenting, networking, exhibiting, and even receiving an award, TMS 2019 was a success.

Many scientists from UES presented throughout the week on a wide range of materials topics. Several of those talks were invited or keynote presentations.

TMS is also a big event for the Robo-Met Team, who exhibits every year. Attendees kept our Robo-Met team busy during the exhibition. Our experts shared information about the system, as well as its many materials applications. From metals, to composites, to additively manufactured parts and more, Robo-Met provides unique 3D insights into materials. Attendees were also excited about our TMS discount for materials analysis services.

While the Robo-Met team had many great conversations at the booth, they didn't stop there. Dr. Sundar presented on materials characterization topics twice this year. He shared his work on using automated optical microscopy to characterize thermal and cold spray coatings in a poster presentation on Tuesday, and discussed characterization of water- and gas-atomized 17-4 PH stainless steel powder precursors for additive manufacturing on Thursday. Dr. Sundar also accepted a TMS EPD Materials Characterization Best Poster Award for work presented at TMS 2018.
